18.4% Growth in PDA Sales in 2006

Gartner continue their strange habit of including connected and unconnected devices in their latest PDA sales analysis. They also classify the Nokia E61 as a PDA rather than a smartphone.
However, it’s interesting (and surprising) that Windows CE sales are up 38.8% and Symbian down 5.9% - especially since that the E61 has been so popular.

Mobile Giants Plot Secret Rival to Google

The Telegraph is reporting that Europe’s biggest telecoms groups are aiming to create a mobile phone search engine that could challenge Yahoo! and Google, the US giants.
