PDA Users Avoid Connectivity

Strategy Analytics have a new report on how over half of PDA users remain unconnected beyond simple SMS text messaging. The report says that the reasons for this are difficulties in setup and poor ease of use.

I would say that cost is also a significant factor. Browsing the net on a connected PDA or smartphone is currently too expensive. People are willing to wait until they are near an internet connected PC. In the near future, this is set to change with the introduction of converged tariffs and larger/unlimited/more affordable data bundles.
