I have been reading up on Symbian Foundation’s Horizon initiative. It turn’s out it’s less of a store of stores but more of an evangelistic process for Symbian applications. Think of it as a working like a book publisher except that the publisher makes no commission!

If the Symbian Foundation likes your application they will provide technical help, get the application signed for you and publish it on the various application stores - free of charge - and you keep all the proceeds.

I like this idea, especially for hobby developers or companies new to Symbian OS who may not have the resources or technical knowledge to get an application to market. More details can be found on the Symbian Foundation website (needs free signup).
