Those of you who regularly read my blog will know I am keeping a watchful eye on how Mobile Linux develops. SavaJe OS is a JAVA based phone OS upon which LG recently created a reference handset. Yesterday, SavaJe announced that they have secured $40 million to enhance their sales and marketing activities.

It’s interesting that Vodafone Ventures is one of the investors. This is a great vote of confidence for SavaJe. Conversely, one wonders why there are no phone OEMs investing.
