I recently posted on iPhone Runtimes and Interpreters. The situation has progressed over the last two weeks with many PhoneGap developers having had their applications rejected and a few people having been specifically rejected for using PhoneGap.

Mike Nachbaur, one of the PhoneGap authors, has sent an open letter to Apple to discuss and resolve the position of PhoneGap when used to implement iPhone applications.
