Handango have just released their Yardstick for 2007.

The top devices adding software make more interesting reading…

Last year I questioned why there were so few Symbian devices adding software. This year, the same seems to have happened with Windows Mobile becoming an additional victim (Dell and HP). Maybe people are buying this software elsewhere?… or maybe the kind of people who like adding software are migrating to Palm and BlackBerry?

One thing is for sure. Next year this table is going to be an even less meaningful gauge of the market once iPhone applications start selling via the exclusive Apple application store.
