Handango seem to have alienated developers yet again. While I also feel 50% commission is too much, Handango is currently the only option if you want to distribute your applications to as great a number of people as possible.

As with most things, people like complaining but aren’t willing to do anything about it. Handango’s high commission is a great opportunity for someone to come in and create an alternative that does things not only cheaper but also better. Downloading and paying for applications isn’t rocket science.

So how could things be made better? Maybe content discovery needs to be on the device via the mobile web or via an application. I previously posted some ideas related to this when I wrote about Nokia Content Discovery.
