Lots of Great Ideas without Funding

BlackBerry.jpgMy feasibility study service attracts a lot of entrepreneurs with ideas that span devices, operating systems, vertical application areas and even countries. People tend to come to me at a very early stage of invention and I help refine and map their ideas onto real phones and technologies.

Things that tend to be common to them all are…

  • Ideas tend to have evolved from a real problem that has been experienced first-hand
  • The ideas tend to be ‘leading edge’ in that it’s only now that the latest phones support the necessary technologies
  • The people are passionate about their idea
  • Most are domain experts for their problem but lack mobile and marketing experience
  • They have very little money

This last point is particularly crippling for entrepreneurs. Before or after the feasibility study, I am almost always asked if I will create demo or initial implementation on an ‘equity’ rather than paid basis.  Unfortunately, I am not in a financial position to do this.  In fact, if I were, I have ideas of my own which would almost certainly fly.

Most of these people need seed funding. They don’t need large venture capital (yet). The majority also need help with business and marketing. So, if you have these skills and are willing to invest a (relatively) small amount of money for a share in the gains from a great idea then please contact me. I can put you in touch with some of my clients. However, please don’t ask me about specific projects as almost all of them are under NDA. What will I get? Well, I will get to implement some of those great ideas.
