Strangely, none of the top genres above are social networking which I had heard from other sources is becoming popular. The problem with these statistics is it might make people think ‘OK, Sports, so I had better go and create a mobile sports portal’. However, tomorrow’s top genre may actually be something else entirely and that’s probably where there are greatest opportunities.
