Widget Usability
There’s a thought provoking study on mobile widget solutions at the Usable Product Company. In particular, it found that Celltop’s widget solution was harder to use than WAP.
With all the hype about widgets, this shows that they don’t necessarily confer improved ease of use. It’s all down the design and implementation - as is the case with existing native, Java or WAP applications.
