On the Symbian blogs there’s an interesting post by Eric Jacobson, product manager of PIPS at Symbian. He describes how Symbian platform security is hindering some people trying to port components using PIPS. Eric goes on to say that "These problems are being solved" even "on older releases of Symbian OS (thus on older phone ROMs) where the existing mechanisms can’t be changed".

I am intrigued how this will be done.
