Enterprise, Tablets and Churn

strategyanalystics.gifFollowing on from Gartner’s prediction that tablets could be the next big thing, the results of a Strategy Analytics survey seems to confirm that tablets are going to be big in business.

"Organizations report plans to buy more Android than iOS corporate tablets in the next 12 months, a warning shot over the bow of iPad current business tablet dominance."

For smartphones, device churn is high…

"The average replacement cycle for business smartphones has shortened considerably to 1.1 years. RIM, whose smartphones still enjoy solid corporate support, must battle to retain customers who revisit smartphone decisions every year."

It’s my belief that the enterprise offers some great opportunities that aren’t hampered by the problems associated with distributing to consumers via the app stores.
