Sony Ericsson W950i Demonstrates Commitment to Symbian OS
Sony Ericsson has just unveiled the W950i…
"W950i Walkman® is a slim and stylish mobile phone with an advanced digital music player and large touchscreen for optimal ease of use. Using W950i is easy. The keypad of the slim W950i is smooth and flush with the surface and the dedicated music player keys and other controls have one-press-to-open functionality. You can also transfer hours of your favorite music from your PC to your phone easy and fast. W950i has an impressive 4GB of flash memory."
In a world where phones quickly come and go, I rarely comment on my blog about specific phones - there are hundereds of blogs that do just that much better than I ever could. However, specifications aside, I think this phone means something.
Up until this last week, Sony Ericsson have been very careful and only ever had one current Symbian OS phone on the market at any one time. New Symbian devices tended to be minor upgrades of previous ones. What with the P990i, M600i, now the W950i and the latter wearing the ‘Walkman’ badge, this indicates that Sony Ericsson is really are serious about the Symbian OS - almost as serious as Nokia!
